Requirements:
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Have a minimum of one year of recovery experience
- Have strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills
- Be willing to identify as someone living with a mental health condition
- Pass a certification test
- Attend CPS certification training
- 4 Types- Certified Peer Specialist- Mental Health, Addictive Disease, Youth, Parent – All require lived experience with selected type as well as state- approved training
Continuing Education Requirements:
- 12 hours (CEUs) per year.
