Requirements:

Completion of a state-approved training program and lived experience. Every state-approved program has its own requirements
To become a credentialed PRSS, you must successfully complete a Peer Support Employment Training Program and pass an exam. AHCCCS recognizes Peer Support Employment Training Programs (PSETP) that are compliant with Medicaid reimbursement policy for peer support services and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations.

Continuing Education Requirements:

PRSSs must complete at least eight hours of CE per year, including at least one hour on ethics and boundaries
